The best part about having an iPhone, is that your kids can work it and secretly take lots of pictures that I would otherwise miss out on. Here was their backyard photo sesh..

Raspberry Pickers
My family LOOOVES raspberries and you all know how many kids I have and how expensive they are so when we had the chance to do some picking, I grabbed Maggie (who is my best raspberry picker..only because nobody else will go with me) and off we went.
My littlest Dancer
The first day of dance is a big deal around here. Especially for this little one. She could hardly wait and wait we did since her class is not until 2:30 in the afternoon. The constant asking about did me in. But we made it and her are a couple of pics
Connor's Obsession
To say that Connor is obsessed with fishing would be a complete understatement. Like, I can't figure out why it's all he thinks about. Fishing? Really? It's so weird. As of late, he wants to come to the store with me (so he can buy more lures to add to his tackle box), he rides his bike to the local outdoor store and this particular week, he hounded and bugged and annoyed me so much about taking him fishing, that I finally caved. I know..mom of the year right?!
So I packed him and two of his friends into the car and off we went to Redmond to fish. I enjoyed some time alone in the car while they did their thang...
End result... soaked boys, from head to toe, a ticked off Connor..since he got his new lure stuck in the tree and had to call it a loss...and no fish were caught. But I did get this pic and Connor told me "thanks"
Totally worth it right??? Right!!
Soccor
I never thought I would have another soccer player after Connor..but little miss Sophie surprised me and wanted to sign up. She had an awesome year and scored two of the 3 goals in the very last game!
First Days of School
It happened again. I try to stop it but to no avail...another school year has come and that means my kids are yet another year closer to leaving me :( Here's the skinny.
Connor is in 7th grade! i know could you die? Only one more year of middle school. I am almost ready to have a nervous breakdown.
Ellie is in 5th grade... her last year of Elementary school. How did I get so old so fast. I'm not old right? Is she a beauty or what? Man, I'm in trouble.
And then there is Sophie. Who starts 1st grade this year and her first year of all day school. Let's just say the first week was a struggle and she needs to be IN bed by 8:30.
Last but not least is Maggie Jane, who started her first year of Pre-school with her Aunt..Ms. Becky. She is in love with it and told me not to walk her in on the first day. "Just drop me off mom"
Sunday Walks
The best part about where we live are the Sunday walks. It's pretty magical, serene and quiet. I heart it a lot. And this particular day, we managed to get away with just one kid. how did that happen right? And you can bet Ellie soaked up EVERY second of this anomaly. Over the bridge, fishing up a golf ball and who knew willow trees made such good swings.
And Nates socks are proof that we do go to church :) |
Up To My Ears...
I know I already blogged about my garden..but let's be honest..Garden Corn..My Garden Corn has a special place in my heart. It practically runs in my veins and I wish we could grow it all year long. But since we can't, we do the next best thing. Freezer Corn!
And let me tell you, we have a system that runs like nobody's business. Shuck, wash, boil, cool, cut corn off cob, eat any left on cob, and throw cob away. It's pretty much a science.

St. George Bound...
Every so often..like really never...I get to spend some time with my bestie from way back. This time we were rollin kid style. Me, her and our 7 kids (connor didn't come..he was camping). Lets just say that being that outnumbered left us exhuasted and without a dul moment.
We started off with the splash pads trying to cool off in the blasted heat...
Then we found the cutest carousel to ride
Then we spent hours and hours at the pool every day
We even took a tour of the temple
And finished the trip with some good, ol' fashioned custard! Success if you ask me!
Happy Birthday Nate
The love of my life is one year older. The big 35! How did that happen? He's still the most amazing man I know and I love him more every day..you know..and all that other mushy stuff :)
Happy Birthday babe!
And no his shirt isn't weird..he just was outside in a massive rain storm.
He found this candy bar wrapped on his pillow that night..it was from Connor. Could you die? Be still my heart..my 13 year old does think of others :) He loves that dad of his!

FHE Treats...
One of our Summer FHE treats was a bike ride to the golf course vending machine..cuz we're cool like that.
I Am Old...
Never have I felt old in my adult life, until this Summer when Connor went and had a birthday and turned 13!! Holy Poo! A teenager is what I have and that makes me feel old. But between me and you, I am totally still young. 26 forever right?!
He started the day off with his favorite breakfast made by your truly..cuz that's the kind of mom I am..at least for one day of the year...
We then partied hard and he got some golf clubs...on his wish list but not at the top. We totally blew that one. Apparently, fishing stuff is where it's at. Maybe for Christmas son!
Then we finished the day with Skor cake of course...a standard for him. Happy Birthday Connor! Don't grow up one more bit..for real tho..OK?
Kids & Huts...
You know when you were little and building huts were the coolest thing ever...Yep, well not much has changed..30 years later and still the coolest thing ever...
Girls..Girls..Girls...
My girls love to have their pictures taken..and really.. what cute girl doesn't? So Sophie thought she was lookin supa cute for church and asked to get a photo...but with three other girls in the house..her single photo shoot didn't last long...
She was joined by Maggie next..
And of course Chloe didn't want to miss out either..
